You have a passion to raise the bar in the retirement industry. You are an energetic, motivated team player who is able to inspire others to provide the highest standards of performance and customer service within the Sales and Marketing and Operations team. You are experienced with knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services to older adults and other members of the public. You are committed to excellence in customer service, willing to learn and/or share your expertise and having fun.

The Career.
With your warm and engaging personality, you will work alongside the Community Relations Manager to develop marketing strategies, coordinate events, and create appealing promotional materials. Additionally, you'll partner with the Lifestyles Manager to organize engaging activities that draw in prospective Community Members..
Your position prioritizes building personal connections, highlighting the advantages of our community, and offering compassionate support to seniors and their families during their transition to retirement living.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform community outreach to create partnerships and discover new referral sources.
- Plan and execute on-site and off-site events/activities to attract new prospects and engage current ones.
- Source new leads for the community.
- Assist in advancing current leads through outbound calls and creative follow-ups.
- Conduct tours when the Community Relations Manager is unavailable.
- Coordinate advertising, flyer drops, new signage, and manage social media awareness and campaigns.
- Cover duties for the Community Relations Manager during their vacation and time off.
- Use the CRM system to track and record all sales activities.
- Interact with current residents and team members to encourage referrals.
- Uphold and promote the V!VA's Orange Dot Values and Purpose of Making Today Great!
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include but not limited to:
- Experience in customer service within the retirement living or hospitality sectors.
- Post-secondary education, ideally business-related field, sales marketing and/or public relations preferred.
- Strong knowledge and relationships in the local community, hospitals and healthcare network, especially of the Durham/Pickering.
- A genuine passion for working in a customer-focused environment and making a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors.
- Confidence, results-driven mindset, and a proactive approach.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to varied hours, including nights and weekends.
- A minimum of two years of experience in an administrative role, ideally in sales or marketing.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills to effectively engage with prospects, community members, and business contacts.
- Empathy and a deep understanding of seniors' needs.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
- Leadership qualities that promote a positive atmosphere and a commitment to bringing joy to others.
- Exceptional standards of customer service.
- Ability to understand, articulate, and embody the V!VA Orange Dot Values.
